UNC Institute for Arts and Humanities (IAH) – Fri 5/20 morning panel

** The IAH is located in Hyde Hall on UNC Campus. The closest building accessible to vehicles is the Morehead Planetarium. We recommend you get dropped off or park near the Planetarium. **

Morehead Planetarium street address: 250 E. Franklin St., Chapel Hill. If your car service can circle through the lot, stop in front of the domed building. Otherwise walk in and look for CHCI staff for assistance – or guide yourself to Hyde Hall via map apps. Facing the planetarium, walk right; Hyde Hall has an octagonal wing and is located straight across the wide grassy quad.

Parking near Planetarium: We recommend the following paid public parking lots, in descending order of proximity to the venue:

  1. Morehead Planetarium Parking Lot on Franklin Street (on UNC campus)
  2. Rosemary/Columbia parking lot (100 E Rosemary St.), corner of Columbia St. and Rosemary St.
  3. Wallace Parking Deck (140 E Rosemary St.). There is construction on Rosemary St.; watch for the blue parking sign and follow the driveway along the side of the parking deck to enter. Walk through Post Office Alley to come out on Franklin Street facing McCorkle Place, the central grassy quad of the UNC campus.
  4. Carolina Square Parking Deck (133 W Franklin Street) near the Target on West Franklin St. Walk east on Franklin Street, cross Columbia Street, continue past the Carolina Coffee Shop and turn right at McCorkle Place into the grassy quad opposite the post office. Hyde Hall is down the path, the third building on the right.
