2022 Annual Meeting: COVID-19 Safety Protocols and Policy

Back to Meeting Overview

CHCI is delighted to plan its first in-person Annual Meeting since 2019. We acknowledge that registration for this event opens at a time of uncertainty due to the prolonged pandemic of COVID-19. Our greatest priority is the health and safety of all participants, attendees, and staff. For this reason, in addition to requiring that all participants are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and up to date with their vaccination, we also require all participants to agree to the following safety protocols and policy:

  • I will follow restrictions and recommendations for Durham County, the Duke University Campus, and my point of origin, including social distancing, the wearing of masks, and any testing requirements for individuals traveling to North Carolina from outside the region.
  • I will follow any safety guidelines or restrictions implemented by CHCI or the meeting venues during the convention. This includes the wearing of masks and respecting social distancing guidelines in all meeting venues and transportation.
  • I agree not to attend the CHCI Annual Meeting if I experience any COVID-19 symptoms (including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, new loss of taste or smell, headache, or nausea or vomiting) or learn that I have tested positive for COVID-19. If I begin experiencing such symptoms or learn that I have tested positive for COVID-19 while attending the Annual Meeting, I will leave the meeting immediately. I also agree not to attend the Annual Meeting if I learn that I have recently come into close contact (defined as being within six feet for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or longer, over a 24-hour period) with an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19. If I learn of such close contact while attending the conference, I agree to leave the meeting immediately.

If CHCI were to change this policy, all registrants who have already accepted it would receive a notification reflecting the changes and giving them an opportunity to change their registration from in-person to virtual, at no additional registration cost.
