Humanities and Emergency Medicine, June 6, 2024, hybrid (Baltimore, USA)

How can the Health Humanities enhance patient care, preserve clinician well-being, and generate solidarity and equity in Emergency Medicine?

Join us for the 2nd annual HumanisEM Conference, an interdisciplinary conference that explores the intersections of the Health Humanities and Emergency Medicine.

The conference will be held on June 6 from 12:00pm-3:30pm EST via Zoom, and registration is Free.

We are also seeking submissions of abstracts and creative works! Please see here for more details!

This year's conference will focus upon "A Nexus for Equity: Exploring the foundational role of the Health Humanities in addressing inequities in health and catalyzing connection across differences". The conference will feature a keynote address by Nathan Gray, a palliative care physician and innovator in graphic medicine whose ground-breaking comics on big and difficult questions in healthcare have been featured in the LA Times, Washington Post, and multiple medical journals. The conference will also feature interactive workshops to showcase the power of the humanities in dismantling injustice and building community, and presentations of abstracts and creative works.
