Public Humanities Network Town Hall, May 4

The Public Humanities Network will host a virtual town hall on Wednesday, May 4 at 3pm EDT, during which we will:

  • introduce everyone to Aaron Fai, who will be working with the network as the CHCI’s newly appointed Membership and Diversity Officer. Aaron will talk with us about his experience in the publicly engaged humanities and will be happy to answer questions about his new role;
  • talk about the Annual Meeting and what opportunities there are for us to meet and share experiences to develop the network and contribute to the meeting at large;
  • and remind everyone of the call for digital responses to "How do you do Public Humanities?", the deadline for which is Friday, May 6, with details below.

We would also like to ask that if any of you are working on projects or programs that support communities affected by the war in Ukraine would you please let us know? We hope to include some conversation on this as part of the townhall so that we might think collectively of ways to help.

Please register for the town hall here. It will be recorded and posted online for those who are unable to attend.

Lastly, we would like to thank Jonathan Elmer for his service on the steering committee as he steps down. Jonathan has been a leader in the public humanities for decades, and a good friend, and we value his company and wisdom greatly.

As always,
