Hall Center for the Humanities Director Search

The University of Kansas seeks a visionary leader and distinguished scholar to serve as Director of the Hall Center for the Humanities. Applicants must have a distinguished record of scholarship in a humanities discipline, be able to articulate a compelling vision for the Center’s future and demonstrate a history of leadership relevant to directing an internationally recognized humanities center. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to create innovative programming and provide evidence of strong administrative and management skills, experience in fund-raising, and the capacity to work with and expand the Center’s broad constituency. The Directorship is a five-year renewable .50 FTE appointment. The director will also hold tenure in the appropriate humanities department with a .50 FTE faculty appointment and will be appointed as a Distinguished Professor. The search committee actively encourages applications from members of groups underrepresented in higher education.

Consideration of applications will begin on June 1, 2018 and continue until the position is filled; starting date is January 1, 2019 or later by negotiation.
