Call for participants: "Crises of Democracy" Global Humanities Institute, July 2019 [closed]

The CHCI-Mellon Global Humanities Institute on "Crises of Democracy through the Prism of Cultural Trauma" invites applications from graduate students and early career researchers from a range of disciplines, including but not limited to anthropology, cultural studies, gender studies, history, journalism, law, languages, literatures, psychology, political science, peace studies, film, audio-visual arts,theatre studies, and the creative and performing arts who are working in the area of crises of democracy and cultural trauma. Faculty and participants of this international, cross-disciplinary summer school will explore perspectives, approaches, frameworks, and frames of reference on the topic of “Crises of Democracy.”

The Institute will be hosted by the Inter-University Center in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from July 15-24, 2019.
