Annual Meeting 2018: Medical Humanities Network Meeting Details

The Medical Humanities Network will hold a half-day session beginning at 11:00am and ending at 3:00pm on June 13, 2018, as a part of the CHCI Annual Meeting. All CHCI attendees who are interested in medical and health humanities—or who belong to CHCI member institutions with significant campus interest in the same—are encouraged to attend.

The purpose of the meeting is to toshare news of work in which we or our colleagues are engaged, including any inter-departmental or inter-institutional partnerships. Brian Goldstone, whose recent work in Harper’s Magazine, has addressed “the forgotten victims of America’s opioid crisis” and “the scan of mental health in West Africa,” will be our featured speaker. Among the agenda items to be discussed are: new directions and ideas for collaborations, upcoming Summer Institutes (for 2018, 2019, 2020, and beyond), utilizing the collaborative potential of the Medical Humanities Network website, and new appointments to the Steering Committee.
