About

Building on Northeastern University’s tradition of linking scholarship and society, the Northeastern Humanities Center was founded in 2008 to foster conversation and collaboration among politicians and writers, philosophers and scientists, historians and healthcare providers, journalists and entrepreneurs, artists and lawyers, researchers and practitioners, and others. The Center seeks to bring together thinkers who can help define the critical questions that need addressing and also respond imaginatively to topical issues as they arise. Through working groups, forum discussions, symposia, seminars, workshops, informal dialogues, conferences, and joint projects, the Center will support a wide-ranging interdisciplinary exchange of ideas in an atmosphere of respect for different perspectives, experience, and expertise.
