Postdoctoral Fellowship: The Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Georgetown - Howard Center for Medical Humanities and Health Justice (MHHJ) is designed to support emerging scholars dedicated to advancing research at the intersection of medical humanities and health justice. This full-time, residential fellowship provides postdoctoral fellows with the resources, mentorship, and collaborative environment necessary to conduct significant interdisciplinary research projects. Each year, the fellowship focuses on a specific theme, encouraging fellows to align their work with the Center’s mission and the unique health challenges faced by the Washington, DC, region. Fellows are expected to produce impactful scholarly work, including peer-reviewed articles and public scholarship, and to engage in teaching one course related to their research. They will participate in bi-weekly lab meetings, contribute to the Center’s events and workshops, and organize at least one public-facing event to disseminate their research findings. Additionally, fellows receive guidance and support in pursuing grants to ensure the sustainability of their research projects. This fellowship aims to foster a vibrant research community, enhance the fellows' professional development, and advance health justice initiatives in the DC area.
