About
The Consortium of Institutes of Advanced Studies (CIAS) is an affiliate of CHCI and currently comprises research institutes based within universities in Great Britain and Ireland. CIAS and its member institutes take an active role in promoting multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research at doctoral level and beyond, and are committed to enhancing public understanding of academic activity. CIAS aims to enhance visibility of research institutes and their contributions within universities, in the UK and Irish HE communities more generally, and internationally. It aims to participate actively as an expert body in the formation of government and research council research policies. The Consortium is administered from the School of Advanced Study, University of London.
