About
The Charles Phelps Taft Research Center at the University of Cincinnati provides competitive research support and programming in the humanities, for faculty and students in the designated Taft disciplines (Africana Studies, Anthropology, Economics, English & Comparative Literature, History, German Studies, Judaic Studies, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Romance Languages & Literatures, Sociology, and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies). Our mission is to promote a sustained intellectual community in the humanities and social sciences at the University of Cincinnati; to enhance faculty and student research; and to attract a new generation of thinkers, who can contribute to an on-going concentration of interest in the development of ideas.
CHCI/ACLS Partnership
The Taft Center is a participant in the CHCI/ACLS Partnership, which connects CHCI member organizations with recipients of the ACLS Recent Doctoral Recipients fellowship program.
