Accommodation at the Banff Centre

The 2026 CHCI Annual Meeting takes place at the Banff Centre in Banff, Alberta, with comfortable accommodation available on site, at the Banff Centre Hotel. We have reserved a block of rooms for our participants at negotiated group rates to help make travel to Banff accessible and economical.

Room Rates & Booking

Rooms are available at the Banff Centre at our group rate of $340 CAD per night for a single room (approximately $245 USD as of December 2025). All rates are quoted in Canadian dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes and a facility fee of $20 (CAD) per room per night, which covers campus-wide Wi-Fi, access to the Sally Borden Fitness Centre, complimentary phone calls across North America, and access to arts and programmed events.

Room Options

Standard rooms are available as single occupancy. If you're traveling with colleagues or family, the Banff Centre also offers shared accommodation options: two-bedroom guestrooms can accommodate up to four adults on a bed-share basis at an additional cost of $20 per person per night. Children under fourteen years old sharing a room with their parents or guardian are not charged an additional fee.

Extend Your Stay

If you'd like to arrive early or depart late, the group rates extend to cover three days before and three days after the official meeting dates, subject to availability.

Important Dates & Details

To secure your reservation at our group rate, please complete your booking by Friday, May 1, 2026. After this cut-off date, room availability may be limited and additional charges may apply.

Check-in time is 4:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Every effort will be made to accommodate guests arriving before the official check-in time, though rooms may not be immediately available. If you need to check out later than 11:00 AM, please contact the front desk once you're registered to arrange an extension.

Cancellation & Other Policies

Individual guest accounts are payable at check-out by cash or credit card. If you need to cancel your reservation, please note that full cancellation penalties apply for cancellations within seventy-two hours of arrival. If you find you must depart earlier than planned, an early departure fee of $75 applies.

The conference venue and accommodation are integrated into the same campus, making movement between sessions and your room convenient.
