In lieu of an in-person CHCI Annual Meeting, we are hosting a series of online meetings beginning Monday, May 11. The goal of these sessions is to convene directors, staff, and affiliates of humanities centers and institutes to discuss the many pressing issues—including and beyond COVID-19—facing the work of humanities scholars, instructors, and practitioners around the world. The leaders of these sessions have worked hard to assemble panels and generate engaging topics, and we look forward to following the conversations that emerge in and from these online meetings. Beyond content, these sessions are opportunities to re-connect and re-enforce the collaborative relationships that define CHCI's in-person meetings.
Below is a link to the Program, where you will find a schedule, descriptions of each session and registration links. We anticipate adding more sessions in the coming days. All meetings will be conducted via Zoom and are free. Advanced registration is required.
The thematic elements of the 2020 CHCI Annual Meeting—on Borders, Mobilities, & Displacements—have been postponed. We appreciate all the hard work undertaken by Javier Duran and the staff at the Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry in planning the 2020 Annual Meeting in Tucson. We are working with them to hold a thematic meeting later this year in Tucson and we will share information on that meeting once it is finalized.
