Cape Town Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for our 2017 annual meeting in Cape Town, taking place from August 10-13, 2017. Under the theme “The Humanities Improvised,” the annual meeting aims to gather together artists, art commentators, and humanists from member institutions to reconceptualize the relationship between art and the humanities against the backdrop of rapidly changing world. Our hosts at the Centre for Humanities Research at the University of the Western Cape have put together a fantastic array of events, from conference panels to a major art exhibition to a performance by a highly regarded puppetry company.

This year, both registration and payment will happen online. As a reminder, your CHCI membership allows you register up to five delegates from your institution for the $120 registration fee. There are also additional fees per person for the Members Dinner on Friday night and site visits on Sunday. Please note that all delegates must be registered at the same time—including their individual choices for meals and the site visits. We suggest carefully reading about these options at the Annual Meeting webpage before heading over to our registration site. Any questions about this process can be directed to Craig Eley.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you in Cape Town!
