Associate Director for the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center, UCSB

The Interdisciplinary Humanities Center (IHC) at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for an Associate Director position. This position will work independently to provide organizational planning and to oversee all IHC public programs and research awards programs that serve faculty and graduate students in the humanities, social sciences and the fine arts. Collaborates with the Director in developing and overseeing IHC programs and initiatives. Assists the Director in fundraising and maintains ties to local community groups, humanities centers and national organizations. Supervises the Program and Events Coordinator and the Senior Artist to see that all planned events and publicity from the IHC meet institutional standards. Reports to the Director. Candidate must have advanced graduate degree in a humanistic discipline and have excellent writing and communication skills. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
