The Dahlem Humanities Center (DHC) is a public forum for showcasing research in the humanities and serves as the central hub for the humanities at Freie Universität Berlin. Its program aims to generate and support academic discourse while it also seeks to engage the general public.

Mission: • Foster communication and collaboration in the humanities at Freie Universität Berlin • Identify current research trends and promote ideas for new collaborative research endeavors using innovative formats • Enhance international research cooperation and establish transnational networks in the humanities • Communicate scholarship in the humanities to the general public and facilitate an ongoing conversation about the role of the humanities in society • Support early career researchers through fellowships and other dedicated programs
